The Sketchbook Project

This year, for our season of gifts, my awesome wife got me a cool gift, a sketchbook. She’s gotten me many sketchbooks in the past, but this one is special. It is a sketchbook for The Sketchbook Project. When I am done my sketchbook will be digitized and kept in a library with other books created by artists from all over the world. I’ll post photos of the progression of my book here and on my social media. This project is exciting and nerveracking. Usually there is zero pressure to filling a sketchbook, it’s a place just for me, to practice and experiment. I like that it will be a available for other artists and a large audience to view for years to come. The photo at the top of the page was my first drawing in the book. It is a family portrait.
